Operating Temperatures for Compressor

I'm still in the process of putting my shop together and have been reading many articles on compressor noise/placement. I have a Kobalt 60 gallon currently wired in the corner, but I'm going to add an enclosed lean-to off my shop and wouldn't mind sticking it in there for noise reasons. This lean-to will only have a double-bubble insulation (not much R factor) and our temps in Arkansas generally range from teens in the winter to high 90's to just over 100 in the summer. Will those temps effect the performance of my compressor or will it be fine? My first post, thanks for your input!

won't hurt it any... common to have compressors outside under a small roof and nothing more... Just make sure to drain water, and suggest shutting it off each night during freezing temps incase you have a spot that water ends up sitting under pressure that freezes and bursts, not likely but could happen and compressor would run non stop.

The heat will effect the motor and the cold will effect the pump. In theory the output of the compressor will change at various temps due to a difference in air density, but let's not get into that one here.

Basically it boils down to.
You may need some ventilation in the summer to keep the motor cool.
You may want to run a lower viscosity oil in the winter to keep the pump lubricated.

Great info, thanks! I've seen many outside like you mention, but didn't want to assume that was the best setup. Getting ready to plumb a hard line but will wait till the lean-to is built. Appreciate the info!
