I can already see that I need something on the inside of my wood girts to protect the exposed insulation from getting pricked and torn. I will just nail or screw it to the flat inside surface of the 2x4 girts. I'm thinking about only going 6' up from the rat sill. I don't see any benefit to framing up the walls with 2x4 just to make them flush all around as this is a working shop.
I'm open to suggestions about material to use. Dry wall is out, this is not a show place and it is not attached to anything. I'm leaning heavily toward 29 gauge steel roofing material because of the durability, economy, and it's easy to clean. The downside is ridges creating a hindrance from mounting anything flat to the wall.
I know there are ideas out there that I haven't thought of, so let's hear them.
