I can’t zoom in enough, that looks like a ZJ. What am i missing, or was there a motor swap for that kind of hp?

Started life as a 98' Niner and is still technically that with some spicy bits added. It's stroked to a 408 with a mild cam, Vortec SC, Frozen Boost IC, Hughes Air Gap intake, tri y Thorley headers into a 3" exhaust, Custom heads, built trans, Ford Explorer rear end, 242 transfer case, lowered on H&R springs and a bunch of other goodies. It was a before kids money dump project lol. It made 505hp and close to 550ft/lbs on a rear wheel dyno in 2010 with the stock wheels and tires. Also did a 12.51 in the 1/4 mile which ain't bad for a 4400lb brick.

I have too much stuck into it to get rid of it so it stays around and is my 69' GTO of sorts. It's a fun rig now that most of the "what breaks next" stuff has been taken care of.

SO, any pics of the engine bay?
Also, if you're experience with the permanent marker is like mine they will disappear within a week due to little hands.

There’s what i was missing. Sounds like a fun, sleeper rig. I’m impressed you’ve got the trans to live even though it’s built. Good call on the 8.8 rear since the original axle was glass.
It's got a bit of a bark to it lol. Even with these fat sticky tires it'll leave rubber on the ground from all 4 corners when doing some frum-digs.

I've got a buddy up here that built a few 46RE's to be used in his mud trucks and he did something to this one and I've never had an issue. Shifting from 2-3 under wot it'll bark the tires and damn near take your breath away. I gave him a stack of money and a few cases of beer and told him I didn't want to break it. So far so good !!

It's not this clean or shiny anymore but it used to look like this lol

Holy ****!

Faster than an elephant fart and half as juicy.

LOL……well there’s your proof……..them farmers do know how to have fun!
Key words here are before kids money dump lol. It needs a new headliner and the SC has a bit of a squeal to it so I think the bearings are going out .... Again .... I haven't done a damn thing to it in the last 10yrs other than change fluids and beat the piss out of it so all in its been a great rig.

I don't remember what it's made for but I purchased two when I figured out what worked lol. If I remember correctly it's for a Volvo semi of sorts.

if there is something farmers know; its belts running all over
This one is a hot mess. The tensioner under the blower wasn't originally part of it but there was so much slip on the blower pulley that I added it to give it more grab. So far so good !! It has a nice whine to it that'll make your pants tighten up lol.

the tuner guy for my brothers SC setup told him to cut grooves crossways in the pulley and drill 1/8" holes in the valleys to let air out. ill be damned if it didnt solve the slip.

I had a skiddy tire that liked to go flat and a grinder mixer tire that was too large for my little Coats 310 tire changer to play with so Miss Lily and I loaded them both into the enclosed farm truck and headed off to the local tire shop. 15 minutes and $30 later they were both back in the van. Damn impressive !!
53037252469_a489c107b5_b.jpg

Using this bucket to gather wood and brush and stuff is damn near impossible with the tines the way they are. I switched one already and took a pic to show the difference. Having them "upside down" will turn them into little skis so they do not try to dig to China whenever they touch the ground.
53037553363_b2f4d5d070_b.jpg

Tons of wrench work lol.
53036490127_ed269bbcb4_b.jpg

Boom !!! Angled up and ready to work !!!

Random little man shot. He is a big help as I just lifted him in there and he unhooked it lol

Oil change on the S300. 14qts of 15w40 and a fancy Bobcat filter.

I've been working on smallifying the wood pile over there ......
53037552833_20dcb6e23e_b.jpg

And largifying the pile over here !!!!
53036489542_c4f416f7c6_b.jpg

Lily and I headed out today to get a few loads of wood home. Walter was a blast to use vs a tractor for this !!
53037460860_d9b9cb0c9a_b.jpg

Only big loads here !!
53037252164_77c1a16cd3_b.jpg

Proof of concept here .... yes that's a desk drawer lol. A few years back I took this 12v pump out of the grey tile cart as we converted it to be able to use the tractor hydraulics. I did know what to do with it until a few days ago when this idea hit me !! This winter I'll build a nice enclosure for it and put it on Walter with a set of hoses to the rear. Yes !! This worked amazing !! I dumped 4 BIG loads and it didn't miss a beat.
53036489877_be9e0e368e_b.jpg

A FSS would work very well there ...... @jeepxj if I gave you the dash angle could you fine tune one to fit there ? A flat back of sorts so I can screw it right to the dash ?

Yes it is and it shifted in and out of drive and reverse flawlessly today so it's on my good side today !!

I'll take some more pics of my dirty dash when I go back out for chores tonight.

trying to make the mount match the vibe of the truck. needlessly bulky in somewhat right spots.

Dude that looks great !! I'll get measurements soon. You've got me excited now !! I still have the black "flat" FSS you sent me a few weeks back that would fit great here.

Yup. easy to modify for the right measurements.

I got bins and stuff for you too. seam placement I wasnt happy with so they're getting stuck in the box.

Okay well it's green. Seems I can't remember **** these days lol

KIMG2080.JPG

This is a working farm truck, I'm 100% fine with screwing into the dash to secure the FSS ......
KIMG2081.JPG

Well I don't have a level spot to measure an angle properly and my brain isn't braining properly tonight for some reason so this is what ya get lol. It was a blonde one or two (or three brunette ones) under an inch .....
KIMG2082.JPG

I've actually got a decent idea to put this one here so if it's too much designing to make something fancy I'm fine with this green one !! Thanks for the test stuff again. I really appreciate it. They're all functional so do not hesitate to sent a bill ...... I can't promise I'll pay it but at least you'll feel good :lol_hitti

lol that is an early early test unit. plus the green dont match the motif in there.

I know exactly how to solve that problem with a simple bracket now.

It looks like Leo grew a foot this year? Great to see pics of your kids helping you do stuff.

That “Farm Truck” or minivan takes me back a few years cause we owned two. I’d take the seats out and put in maybe 8-10 32 gallon plastic garbage cans inside ours full of construction debris to our local dump before I bought a trailer. Good thing was they used to charge $8 a “CAR” but now they charge about $150 per ton.

Keep up the great work.

Leo is certainly getting larger !! Attitude and height lol.

That poor minivan gets abused more than it should on the farm but it keeps on trucking !! They're cheap and everywhere so finding another one will be pretty simple if this one shits the bed.

Thanks for stopping by !!

I ordered a wood splitter from Brigg Innovation awhile back and it arrived yesterday !! There are two of them here, one for me and one for a buddy. I need to build a bracket for it that'll match up with my excavator. The white posts will get metal tubing sleeves that will be welded to a skid steer quick attach plate so I can use it on a skiddy or a mini-ex. I'm super stoked to put this thing to use !!!

Orange bin moving day today !! The guy I sell seed with has a Deere 332G and if it would have had another few hundred pounds of weight on the back it'd have picked it up no problem. As it was it did very well dragging it over to it's new home.
53041671700_e8499f48ae_b.jpg

Backed down the hill, rehooked it so it was faced the correct way and carry it up the hill. Drama free mostly. I had to put weight on his rear weight bracket with my skiddy to keep the back of his down but other than that it went very well !!
53041468869_a98f5bc581_b.jpg

A little pushing and lifting and it's in its new home. This one will be the kids problem to move out of here one day :lol_hitti

edit: damn ebay is HALF the price to your door.
I bought a 3/8" plate from Amazon of all places a while back for $129.99 shipped. Not sure how it can be built and shipped for that but it's here and is damn stout looking. Welds are nice and clean as well.

Lol……the bin move in “other” places would be two engineers, an environmentalist and 4 safety officers. Oh, and one guy on a crane.😂
We looked at it with an engineering intent for about 5 minutes and decided to take the forks off the pallet forks so just the frames were left, put it under the spot we did, chain it to the handles on the skiddy boom and see what happened. It worked the first time so we must be decent engineers :lol_hitti

We did an environmental study beforehand but it was inconclusive so we decided to move the bin and see what happened. So far so good.

Our safety officer was eating Nutty Buddies and watching Paw Patrol but he was ready if we needed him lol.

Little man was apparently sleepy and found a comfy spot !!

While unloading Pauls skiddy we saw some cracks in places there shouldn't be cracks ...

Where the beaver tail attaches to the trailer there is a sizeable crack :willy_nil

And down the side and under the bottom .....

And these supports on both sides in between the ramps .....
53043369401_108ee2bbff_b.jpg

Step 1 was to gain access to be able to repair. Hello evo saw !! Gosh I like this thing !!
53043369726_09acfcae2f_b.jpg

Step 2 more cutting stuff off lol
53043546754_6610c70be2_b.jpg

Made a patch template out of some cardboard ....

Goodness I like this saw !!! Makes metal slicing almost a treat !!

Grind the old weld out ...
53042782687_bc7b99f394_b.jpg

Shove a wet rag inside so the wires don't melt and booger some weld on.

Big heavy ******** top to do the bulk of the heavy lifting.
53043755895_7daeaca323_b.jpg

Yeah I don't know why this welded so ****** but here it is. I welded a scrap to something on the welding table and it welded like this as well. Must be some sort of strange metal :dunno:
53043546059_727e021fa0_b.jpg

It looks way better with the rub rail back on a few feet back :lol_hitti
53042782052_c2996744a4_b.jpg

Going to give it a hot lunch with 18,000lbs of hay  Damn straps aren't long enough so I tossed a log chain on the side to make up the difference.

Trying to understand why you need a splitter if you have a buddy that has a splitter :):(

Farming life sure has changed with addition of skidders!
We talked about buying one together and decided we'd forever be running back and forth. Plus we have different mini's and would need different brackets. I will set it up for my skiddy but I foresee using it mostly with the mini-ex.

No kidding, skiddys are great little power packages !!!
