building a 30x14 room inside my shop. interior wall back side faces open part of my shop.., problem is I have to put outlets on both sides of wall. Does the NEC say anything about this type scenario. I understand the whole issue of putting metal protection plates where wiring runs through studs, but got to thinking from the back side of wall (facing shop) it would be possible for someone to drive a long screw through a wire because the back of the outlet and wiring buts against the sheetrock...? I suppose it couldnt be pierced by a drywall screw but then again I dont want an inspector to snag me for it....
