I ended up with a 32 wide, 22 deep detached, heated slab garage/shop.
Left bay is long term project, right bay is quick repairs, far right is bench, parts washer, etc. I would have liked larger,, but I would have had to jump through some major hoops (looking back I should have).
It works because I have a rule "NOTHING gets stored in the shop"
It has large pull down attic stairs and the Loft is fully floored and is my car parts "storage"
In my county you do not need a permit for a shed (under 200 sq ft and no perm foundation) ,So I moved a small 8' x 10' shed by the rear of the garage, I store some seldom used things in there (sand blaster, etc)
So, I was thinking of ditching the 8x10 shed and building a 12x16 shed, running power to it, moving the 60 gal compressor out there, a blast cabinet, Parts washer?, and other seldom used large tools??
Anyone else "complimented" their small shop work space with a shed as a secondary work area??
