I've been trying to find a thread that showed a "shelf" that mounted to the ceiling/trusses that held various numbers of those tupperware bins you get at WalMart. I can't seem to find it. Can anyone point me to the thread or the place to buy some of these ???

You can get the HyLoft racks at your local Lowe's so you don't have to deal with shipping. I bought two of the large sizes only to move to a new house that didn't have enough room for them.

Just to let your imagination run a little bit.
I saw on another site how a guy used that idea for his model train layout.
He had fold up/down legs on the bottom side. When he wanted to play, he would drop it down a bit, fold down the legs, set it on the floor, disconnect the ropes and put them back up and out of the way. Reverse it all when he was done.
Anybody have a project that needs a big worktable, but you still want to park inside in the bad weeather?

Another, cheap, solution is to peruse your local Craig's List and look for mobile wire racks. Cut the uprights to your desired length, bolt to some angle stock from lowes, and lag bolt that sucker to your joists. Worked like a charm for me and was dang near free since I didn't have to buy the racks, just found some freebies on Craigs! :D
Here's a real crappy picture of the results.

And on the edit. Here's a sample of what they USED to look like. I had a tall one that had 4 shelves.

After looking at that last picture of all those roll cabs strung across the front of your garage I just have to ask.......are all those loaded to capacity? Why on earth would you need so many boxes? I have tons and tons of tools but I must say I would never need that many boxes? :headscrat

Same question here. Does everyone in your household have 1 or 2 boxes? Do you collect them? After seeing that amount....well your a legend in the tool world! Sorry to go off course.
