I used the foam core with the foil backed face.
i first installed the outer panel with the foil facing the outside.
They I cut a few strips to make up a "dead air space"
Then I cut a section to fit with the foil facing the inside of the garage.
I get the benefit of the extra lighting on the inside and the reflective panel
repelling the heat from the outside.
My garage door was too hot to touch before , now is is at least 10 degrees
cooler than the outside temp. No glue required, just cut the sections to "pop"
into place.
I used the home depot 1/2 or 5/8 inch material. I used the spray in foam in the center sections, it seemed to help.
