I needed a cart for my bottles and while looking for metal in the back yard spotted an old rusted out lawnmower. I was just going to use the wheels but the handle was perfect also. I use a piece of allthread with fuel hose on it for the bottles to rest against. I will replace the bungee with chain next time Im at lowes. Its easy to roll around and I can chain it to the wall for our next earthquake!

Looks good, but if I could offer a few suggested improvements with safety in mind.
1. As you have said, use a chain to secure the bottles in place, as I"m sure you know they came become a missile if the valve breaks off.
2. Typically the wheels should not support the bottles when the cart is at rest, thus the bottom of the tanks will be resting flat on the base and be less prone to tipping or rolling if bumped into.
This is achieved by moving the axle behind the handles of the unit and raising the axle axis just so the wheels touch the floor, but support no load. When you tip the cart backwards to move, it will raise from the floor using the wheels as a fulcrum.

Great re-use of discarded machinery.

What kind of machine is the blue colored machine behind the torch rig? Just Curious Also, are you redoing an old Chevy or Ford truck?

That is what it is all about. Old steel junk becomes useful again! I built a wake tower for my boat and then tore it apart and built a rear brushguard for my bumper. Let's just say I can't tell you all of the things it was originally but steel is steel. Nice job!
