Saw that x looks like a bunch of off brand sockets in there.
Right. But who knows, I'm sure I'm not the only one whose found sets where the replacements were rarer than what was supposed to be included. If this had a knurled P&C 1/2" drive set from 1930 that would be a big deal. Though in this one that particular era of Hinsdale does nothing for me. The thing about this set is there's not one socket VISIBLE that is absolutely a P&C. I'm just curious, the 12 pts look beveled so.....Saw that x looks like a bunch of off brand sockets in there.
I was gonna let this slide but.....so there's an ebay auction ending tonight for a 29/30/31 ish ( not "early 20's") set that's up to about $93.00 as of this writing. Besides the cheesy AI assisted ( if you haven't sold on ebay lately and tested this AI feature, it's cringey) description I would think the seller might consider pulling out one of the supposed "diamond knurling" sockets out of the tray. Are ALL the tools really marked P&C as the description says?Obviously not. I see he added the "Hintsdale"[sic] note after I asked. To be fair, he started the auction really low, so maybe thought it wasn't worth much trouble but now I would think he'd want to cover the other issues. Best case it boosts the price, worst case he doesn't have some unhappy buyer. I know this seller has sold some sweet tools on the bay before so it's not like I'm pickin on some newbie.
Wow! So that’s the reason why lately the body of every listing sounds like it was written by some Ebay store hype it up man who knows nothing about what they’re selling! I mean, way worse than the usual!
yeah, I experimented with it one time and I was like "Yikes" and cancelled it immediately.

Sorry for the derailment, this is quite timely for me. Earlier this week my wife was asked to proofread a college paper and then found out that it was “written” by AI. This is all new to me. The verbiage was way off. It’s quite sickening really, to think someone could get a degree using that technology.it's not just ebay

Sweet! Was it that clean when you found it?I found this set this past weekend.
Nice. Speaking of P&C sets, anyone have an update on that 29/30 set we were just talking about a couple weeks ago that sold on ebay.
Nice! original Cork?I found this set this past weekend.
Yes. it is as I found it. The driver looks brand new.Sweet! Was it that clean when you found it?
I dont Know if it's original but it is cracked.Nice! original Cork?
No it isn't. I even has plomb green under the red paint. Original color should be blue right?I don't think that's even original paint!
yep. but even like that it is a good find and it was at a reasonable price.Look’s repainted to me, also doubt that the cork is original by how crudely it’s cut. But thats just my 2¢
Ever seen one of these, s
Oh that’s a good one! I want the Proto version but haven’t seen one around here that’s worth pursuing. Some guy up in northern Washington has a roached out one posted for $600 that is pretty destroyed. That’s the only one I’ve seen locally posted. All the rest are on the bayEver seen one of these, spotted this on FB MP.
$150I have the same style but different items displayed.
What do they want for it?
Dang, that’s a good price! Surprised someone hasn’t grabbed it already$150
