Found this P&C 706 Screwdriver today, except for some mild hammering and scratches at the end of the handle, this surface gleams like new, instead of looking fuzzy and not translucent like you'd expect after so long.

I haven't looked this one up in the catalogs yet, but I'm quite certain it's 20s/30s. A P&C 1/2" flex head T-drive socket on a 12" extension. I found it at the "NW Biggest Garage Sale" at the county fairgrounds in Vancouver, Wa. I found lots of other cool items but this was the most unique by far!

Following up on my previous post, I found this wrench in the 1931-1933 catalog. This is a "Universal T Wrench" no. 3516-12.

The marketing write-up includes "There is no more popular wrench made for work in close places" and "have no equal in the market". There is the caveat, however, that states: "universal wrenches are not designed to be used as a 90° offset handle".

Something tells me that very few of these have survived!

There are 10 fractional sizes and were available in two lengths - 12" & 16".

This is the first one I've seen in ~3 years. At that rate, it will take me another 57 years to complete the set!

Some recent P&C finds: A tapered drift punch, and most of someone's set of sockets from 3/8 to 1"; Missing the 7/8 and 7/16. the 3 (4) largest are 1/2 drive the rest 3/8.

I found them right where you said - bulletin #14, Nov. 16, 1931
The illustrations leave something to be desired but now that I see the wrenches I'm thoroughly impressed!

They are for plastic fittings like drain pipe and P traps so you don't mar them.

A couple of P&C finds on Friday. My first one was a TOO that had nothing but junk except for the sweet tiny P402 Series 100 screwdriver on one table. I took it over to the lady and she said "10 cents" - SOLD!

At another sale I found a #6215 1/2" drive speeder. This gives me three of these, so I need to trade for a 1/4" drive #3215.

I found only one piece of P&C from a weekend of pretty good finds. But, if you're only going to find one, the 1/2" drive 1-3/16" socket is a winner for sure.

That's a tough one to find. Well done!

Speaking of which, I found a 1/2" drive,1 3/16" socket made before P&C started stamping model numbers on their tools (No 6038-12 ca. 1931).

The smaller 1/2" drive socket has no markings at all but is almost certainly a P&C socket.

I also found a 3/8" drive, 9-16" deep socket (hyphenated). Does the hyphen make it pre-war?

The pliers are really cool. Model #1234 compound leverage pliers, age unknown.

The final item is marked "P&C tool co. Milwaukie, Oregon" - the first of its kind I have found in the wild. According to the catalog, it is a "water pump packing nut wrench", model number 1232, ca. 1931.

have two pairs of that style, one marked Proto, and numbered 234, the other unmarked but clearly the same maker, identical down to the grip pattern. I think P&C used the same numbering + a 1 in front as Proto, as I have another pair of P&C Pliers that match the Protos with the 1 added in front. I think that numbering sequence was mentioned before recently.

Those compounds plies are awesome! I did a crush test with them against regular pliers in some pine and the compounds easily doubled the crush. Similar when gripping a good size lead sinker.

Return of the Snowman......so, based on this small sample, looks like that logo design spanned the time frame where they added tool #'s to their sockets.
The socket on the right in the 2nd pic is just another pre tool# style I threw in for no particular reason.
