Take a minute to do a search first and don't use all caps. That's considered yelling.

The search or just some reading will provide a wealth of details. Take care.

Never heard of "Original Color Chips". Personally, I'd stay away from anything that isn't solvent based (true 2-part epoxy) unless you want to be recoating every couple of years.

Make sure you let the concrete properly cure at least 28+ days (or as recommended by the manufacturer) and apply the coating exactly as they say in the instructions.

Like 04 Navi said, do some reading here in the flooring section and you'll learn a lot about a lot of different products.

For roughly $800, are you trying to contract it out or DIY the floor? You'll have a lot of reputable options for that size floor and budget. Depending on where you're at, weather and surface temperature may be limiting factors unless the space is already heated.

DON'T use solvent based!!! You want to used 100% solids epoxy that is free from water or solvents! Coatings that contain water or solvent leave pours as the water or solvents evaporate and exit the curing paint film. In addition, water based epoxy products are notorious for yellowing when they are applied too thick due to water that is trapped because the coating cures before the water can evaporate.

Also, you need to consider what you are getting for the money. There are products that you can buy for a hundred bucks but you'll only have 1-mil of protection for your floor.

So,

1) Is it 100% solids
2) How thick will the coating be when it dries!
3) How many pounds of chips per square foot do I get?
4) What is the prep solution made of? Is it Sulfamic acid (weak)?

Don't buy ANYTHING that can be purchased at Walmart... lol...

Made the big mistake of not getting the good stuff. I went with the brand name we all use in spray cans on our lawn chairs! Did everything to a T. Let it cure longer than necessary. Looked great until a wet leaf sat on the floor for about two hours now we have a nice leaf pattern on the floor it stained, coffee stained, card broad box stained, if it has any tannin in it it will stain. Oil, gas any other solvents no problem. I called the company explained my problem they said "HuH" and sent me a complete refund and said I should take up all epoxy and do it again! NOT.. They were nice but real fast to send me a refund and not want to know what happed to there product, so I got the imperstion they know there is an issue. Spend more now and have it look nice for along time unless you like leaf patterns:(

I used Original Color Chips for my floor, been down about 6 months, no complaints
I was able to drive to their store in warren, glad I did ( even thoe I hate driving thur Det roit ) Salesman was very helpful , I would have ordered more product then I needed
Didn't need the primer,(unless u've got moisture issues)

Based on one coat 680sqft.
was give Devon base coat 2 gals kit( good for 1000sqft) could've got'n almost two coats, threw alot away, 2 gal kit of color chips clear...that stuf's potent u'll need a respirator... went with hvy chips didn't need any anti slip sand
2 gal kit base coat
2 gal kit clear
3 18" roller covers
1 18" roller
2 18" roller trays ( can be reused after they dry ,paint peels out fairly easy)
2 beer can size jar of anit skid SAND waste of money $7 ea( guess I'll use it in my sand blaster)
6 lbs chips ( way more then needed 4 would've been plenty)
2 tubes silex ? crack filler (needed more had 56ft of cracks to fill ..bought concerte crack repair at the hardware seems to be about the same.. will see
All just under $ 600 ( Plus hardware supplies)
bought muratic acid at the hardware ..did it twice ( prep is the key to best results)

Things I would do different buy enough clear to do 2 heavy coat (4gal needed)
( I had cement left a little rough )

I spent all last winter researching most all the options on epoxy

and for the DIY ( if ya need the links I've still got'em)

100 percent epoxy while definitly the best/ costliest only had a pot life of about 30mins compared with 2 hours for most of the other (woking by myself)

Alot of guys have used alot of diferent brands here with mixed results , you're right in stay'n away from the water coat products

U'll need to let your concrete age at least 60 days and the temp need to be above 50*

Good luck choosing it can get mind boggleing with all the different brands/hype
