I used Original Color Chips for my floor, been down about 6 months, no complaints
I was able to drive to their store in warren, glad I did ( even thoe I hate driving thur Det roit ) Salesman was very helpful , I would have ordered more product then I needed
Didn't need the primer,(unless u've got moisture issues)
Based on one coat 680sqft.
was give Devon base coat 2 gals kit( good for 1000sqft) could've got'n almost two coats, threw alot away, 2 gal kit of color chips clear...that stuf's potent u'll need a respirator... went with hvy chips didn't need any anti slip sand
2 gal kit base coat
2 gal kit clear
3 18" roller covers
1 18" roller
2 18" roller trays ( can be reused after they dry ,paint peels out fairly easy)
2 beer can size jar of anit skid SAND waste of money $7 ea( guess I'll use it in my sand blaster)
6 lbs chips ( way more then needed 4 would've been plenty)
2 tubes silex ? crack filler (needed more had 56ft of cracks to fill ..bought concerte crack repair at the hardware seems to be about the same.. will see
All just under $ 600 ( Plus hardware supplies)
bought muratic acid at the hardware ..did it twice ( prep is the key to best results)
Things I would do different buy enough clear to do 2 heavy coat (4gal needed)
( I had cement left a little rough )
I spent all last winter researching most all the options on epoxy
and for the DIY ( if ya need the links I've still got'em)
100 percent epoxy while definitly the best/ costliest only had a pot life of about 30mins compared with 2 hours for most of the other (woking by myself)
Alot of guys have used alot of diferent brands here with mixed results , you're right in stay'n away from the water coat products
U'll need to let your concrete age at least 60 days and the temp need to be above 50*
Good luck choosing it can get mind boggleing with all the different brands/hype
