R they reputable?
I’ve bought from them once without issue. If you look at their address they are at the same place as Koken USA just a different unit number.

My second order from them will be here this week. When one piece was unavailable for a week they were great with emails asking if I wanted to ship the partial order or wait. Prompt and polite.
I want to buy tools from them, and my credit card says yes.
If you're ordering Ko-Ken tools from Palmac, discount code MrSubaru5 gets you 5% off your order. It's not much but, it's better than a sharp stick to the eye. Palmac even included Ko-Ken decals with my orders so, open the shipping label with care.![]()
i've had a koken list saved up for a month or two now, but the coupon pushed me over the limit. ordering later today. thanks
Given you have a list, I have a question. As I have been looking at buying from the same place.
If you are doing sockets then are you deciding between their regular sockets vs zeal?
The zeal has the tightest fit but they are super low profile, not sure if that will be a good thing for general use. Maybe too small to grasp and they'd keep dropping from my hands.
I am considering going regular 3/8 and deep socket and come back to the zeal for 1/4 in my next order.
Discount code BlackFriday gets you 10% off til Saturday
thanks
where'd that code come from btw?
Has anyone purchased from Palmac lately and can comment on lead times for Koken items that do not show as on hand?
Also, do they wait for all items to be on hand before shipping, or split up into multiple shipments (on hand vs those with a lead time)?
They're the only seller I can find who has the new 72 tooth Koken ratchets listed for sale. Oddly, the 5% discount code (MrSubaru5) is either not working, or only discounting a very small amount.
Thanks for the info. I currently have ~ $184 in my cart (Koken and Wera) and the coupon code is removing less than $1.00. I experimented in a different browser and cart. Most items were "not eligible" for the discount, including the new 72T ratchet. Oddly it seems this just changed within the last few days as I've been building this order for over a week and the 5% discount was previously working. It can vary, depending on where the item is in the supply chain, but I've generally found it to be about a week.
They usually wait until they have everything in the order.
Well, 5% isn't a terribly large amount...did you do the math to see if it's correct? I used the code just last week, and it behaved as expected.

Perhaps the MRSUBARU5 code no longer works. It's been around for awhile. It used to remove 5% of your total order price before shipping. have you called Palmac? are you ordering non Ko-Ken items? I bought two 72 tooth Ko-Ken ratchets and was able to get 5% off.
Palmac should create a Garage Journal discount code of 10% as much free press as they get in these pages as well as the number of orders from journal members
Palmac will partial ship orders with back ordered items. Palmac has been real good about emailing me lead times for out of stock items.

In the Palmac shipping FAQ is this statement:
"Orders being shipped to your home will require an adult signature......"
Do I really have to be at home to sign for a $65 ratchet wrench delivery?
Thanks for the replies, guys. I am going to order the Koken 3725Z-72T standard ratchet. Palmac says they have 23 in stock.
Just to calibrate your expectations...it usually takes Palmac 4-5 working days (and they don't work evenings or weekends) to get an order out the door. If you ordered them today, they won't even see the order until sometime Monday, when it goes into the queue. Expect them to actually ship around Thursday, then factor in the UPS time to you.
They're not fast, but they're quite reliable.

My first Palmac order arrived today via UPS Ground, nine days after ordering on a Monday. The order was for 6 Koken items, all in stock. They kept me updated with 4 emails, but the shipping notification email did not include a tracking number. I will buy from them again.
