Panel concentric knockout plug/adapter for smaller size?

I have a large conduit going between both the main panel and sub panel. The wiring will be replaced with one that will not be in a conduit and would need a smaller knockout on each box. Do they make adapters to step down the current hole to a smaller hole? I have seen knockout plugs for junction boxes but they seem to be one size and don't allow for a smaller hole to be punched through them. Thanks.

Yes, there are washers which have a "stepped dish" in them for use as a reducer.

If its a huge step that would require multiple washers like above, I would just make a sheetmetal plate, carefully drill a matching clearance hole pattern and secure with round head machine screws and nuts.

They're called reducing washers and you can get them in every nominal conduit size.

Why not re-use the existing conduit for new conductors?

This conduit runs below ceiling level diagonally across the garage. I am replacing with SER cable above ceiling height.

There is a failrly large range on the clamps- have you checked to see if a clamp that is a perfect fit for your panel hole is rated for whatever size SER you are using??
