Ayuh,..... I Love this one,.....
Super simple, 'n perfect to put in my truck,....

It appears it'll keep the roll from turnin', unrollin' the whole roll of Bounty in the backseat,.....

I've also got some strips of ssteel to make one outa,.....

In the shop, I use rags, rather than paper towels,....

Yes. Good eyes. I bought this sink at an auction of equipment of a grocery closing down. But I also bought a small hand sink that had knee controlled valves. I removed the valves and faucet, drilled a hole for the faucet and mounted the valves underneath. I glued the plate holding them to the underside with thickened epoxy so as not to make holes in the sink. It worked out great, makes it handy if my hands are really greasy so as not to mess the regular handles.

Good job:beer:

This is the one I have. Mine is mounted on the underside of a overhead cabinet. It’s tight enough that it’s easy to get one towel quickly.

I had a plastic Rubbermade spring retention one like earlier in the thread. I hated it. Every time I tried to get a towel, the roll would fall off.

Ayuh,..... Good to know,.....

I'm thinkin' of mountin' it on a side, in the back clubcab, within reach of an open door,.....

My '97 F250HD don't have back doors,....

If I need a big wad of towels, it appears it would give up the whole roll, fairly easily,....

It was only after catching up on this thread while in the kitchen, I look over and see a bare roll of paper towel sitting on the counter.

No holder. But in the shop I've got a double roll holder. Wheird.

I have a ratcheting one on an upper cabinet end and the HF magnetic on the end of my roll-a-way. If you keep the magnetic ones snug to the roll it's pretty easy to tear off.

After trying many different styles ... I finally have these mounted in my several shops .. Search Prodyne on Amazon.

Those are the exact ones I have. Bed Bath and Beyond has them. IDK if they're more expensive at BB&B or not.

I have a cheap plastic holder, If, and when, it breaks I will consider my options. I think the holder had been good for at least 15 years now and it is in "like new" condition.

I just put a bessey or irwin clamp wherever I need PT and slide it over the end. Sits wherever other than that.

45 years ago I made one. It is still on the wall in my dad's garage. Still working after 45 years so it must be a good design!
I bent up a "U" shape out of 2x1/8" steel, a bit longer that the length of a roll of towels. Drilled a 9/32" hole in each leg. Found a wooded dowel, probably on old broom handle and drill a 1/4" hole in each end and shoved a 1/4" pin in each hole sticking out about 1/2". The pins stick into the holes drilled into the flat steel "legs". Spread the legs slightly to pop the dowel in or out.

The one's shown here made out of black pipe or copper tube work well too. The black pipe id probably easier to make, just screw it together, no soldering needed.

I use one of these so that I can drag it around with me (under the car, etc). Oxo brand makes a good one.

Harbor freight magnetic towel holder for me.
Sits on the right hand post of the Mohawk 7K 4 steps from the wash up sink.
On breezy days paper towels will unravel if the roll is not held in tight by the supports, then again if its too tight can't get a single piece off.

Plastic paper towel holders that screw to a surface. They work great. More important to me is having them everywhere. I do not like having to walk more than 10 steps for a paper towel. I have them everywhere. Same with foxtail brushes and dust pans, and trash cans.

I have this one from BB&B, which is mounted to my HF 5-drawer tool kart. I like it because it doesn't actually "roll". It has ratcheting-type action, so if you yank it, the roll doesn't keep, well, rolling.

I have the same one mounted near the pool cues, it’s great when your dirty to only have to pull with one hand. My coworker has one on his bus he converted to an rv and he turned me onto it

I use an old paint roller. Holds the paper towels pretty good. I welded a little bracket to it and hung it next to the work bench.

"Installed" these a couple of weeks ago.

Good value. Strong magnets. Brackets are plenty deep for large roll.

$20 for two sets of brackets.

Timely rebirth of an old thread .... I have a couple sets of the HF holders.

I like the Bed Bath one from early in the thread ..... ordered one of those for $10. Found a couple other items to get to #20 free ship.

Can't have enough OXO around

I have a brown paper roll dispenser (push lever style), like the commercial grade ones at high schools

I picked up the dispenser and 30 rolls for free, at a local school that was getting renovated

I use a 10" or 12" peg board single hook, works great on my peg board above the work bench. I also have one of those plastic one that screws to the wall, it has been going for 30+ years and still going strong.
