I just paid $75 for a similar designed Rock Island vise and the Parkers usually get a little more for them. i'd buy it since I don't currently own any Parkers if the other side looks just as nice. i'm guessing a 3.5 or 4 inch jaw and maybe early 1900 vise with the bolt coming out of the bottom of it.

as always when looking at old vises and tools check for cracks and old welds that might be painted over that will affect value and use. good luck

I'd pass. The collar looks like a replacement, the support for the front slide is missing, it doesn't appear to have a notches to lock-in the base to keep it from swiveling, and it requires ample room under your bench to manipulate the handle to lock/unlock the swivel.

B100: so these old Parkers had the lips under their slides on the static slides that you noticed missing? it would show up as a broken piece on closer inspection usually. correct?

I thought the original front piece was not as thick as maybe an original but aren't these little ones easily found for $7.50 or thereabouts?

the swivel nut under it tells me yes it is a bit harder to use if you want it to actually swivel, but isn't this vise early 1900 or late 1800's?

i'm definitely not a fan of broken off cast so I might have seen that on closer inspection, but the other issues are fixable are then not and not for much money considering the age of the vise?

That first Parker is in pretty poor shape, PASS!

The second one looks interesting. I can tell it ends in "ER", the only vises I know of that do that are Parker and Sawyer. What size is the jaw width? How far does it open? Weight? Does that read 32 1/2 in raised letters on one side. Don't recall a vise with those oval recesses in the slide before. We need more pics!

Yea I just figured out myself it appears to end in "THER".

For opening width measure it with the slide flash with the back of the main body, thats the safe fully supported opening distance. Look at it with different lights and different angles, you might make out more letters.

It's a cool little vise!

It appears that the whole support is gone (circled area below). Is there a source for the front collars? I remember someone casting a few, but don't recall seeing any otherwise. Yes, I think it is an old one, but can't find the model number listed anywhere to narrow it down.
