who here has one, what did you pay. I just won one on an online auction for this bad boy, pretty excited about picking it up.

That's a really nice one! I have the blue/red HF piece. I think I paid $69 for it, back in the day. Filled it with 10 gallons of Purple Power when it was on sale at Autozone. Cuts even the thickest of grease!

Is that aqueous based?

I considered such a machine but my research suggested they dont handle lots of heavy grease and the only ones worth bothering with used 140 degree heated solution.

Well I didnt do the research before I bid on it, It uses an expensive solvent that basically recycles itslef. Maybe I can still use some purple power or other solvents in it. If not ill probably end up selling it. I only paid $176 for it, seems as they run upwards of $1500-$2000 new. Jay Leno uses one in his shop :)

Purple power is awful, nasty ****. Get 5 gallons of safety prep from inland technologies. Works better and won't etch aluminum or harm your skin.

A lot of guys use dish washer detergent. GeneralDisorder is right about aluminum, you need to watch what you use in them. I have this snappy unit and still use the SO juice that the po used in it. I was worried about having too much flammable products around as it is near my welding area so went with aqueous. I also didn't want the smell of solvent around although this unit has it's own odor when it heats up.
