Pelican 1607 Toolbox - (Aviation)

Just thought I would like to share my new toolbox that I had shadowed. I'm an aircraft mechanic and have to work mobile a lot so a rollaway toolbox didn't make sense.

Go to an FAA approved school. They have a curriculum and all.

I paid to have someone engineer and design it. It cost $500 for everything (minus case and tools). The time it would have taken me to do this by hand would far exceed $500 worth of my labor.

I went to www.caseclub.com (they're local to me so I just brought them the tools and told them the layout I wanted).

I have yet to update my pics in the thread as well...

They are great cases in general. Many uses I recently picked up 2 used 1610 cases one let me re-organize and complete my Jeep stuff, The other one I haven’t dedicated a use to. I’ve been contemplating general construction or plumbing box, mine will not be nearly as nice looking as yours, but will be very functional, secure and easy to move... the fact their Made in the USA and have a great warranty is just a big bonus.

The 1600 series of cases seem to be that perfect balance of size weight and capacity for general use. Many different configurations all well thought out...



How much does the whole thing weigh if you don’t mine me asking....
