It's not the presence of AI stuff. Is when people copy pasta unverified AI or stuff that is very clearly not applicable or is wrong. After all, AI stuff today is just a summarized search. Sometimes people just aren't good at searching. I have a friend who texts me from time to time saying he can't find any info on xyz. I'll do a search and sure enough, nothing useful comes up. So I'll modify the search or search for a related thing or a more generic search term and find the info he wants in several places then send it to him. Then he'll say how weird it is that none of that came up in his search.

^ We have seen multiple instances of members coming on and posting something they've copy & pasted from some "AI" search.
Thus far, in the context of "vintage tools", "AI" has proven itself to be less than "intelligent" by coming up with all manner of nonsensical "information".

On the flip side, there are those who argue that "AI" does indeed have its place, and is of great benefit in some cases.
I have not witnessed any of that personally. My eyes have seen only ridiculous nonsensical incorrect "answers" that in some cases defy simple logic and laws of physics.

I'm still having trouble with how you determine what's AI or not AI in our format here. It's not marked or identified with a watermark. Every time you Google a question now days it's probably an AI generated explanation of your question gathered from millions of existing data and processed as a correct answer. So how do you know?

I asked AI how much concrete to fill a 12" post hole that was 24" deep. It told me 10.5 cubic feet of concrete.
That's probably the most accurate thing I have ever seen from AI.

People are often coping and pasting the result to not even try to disguise that it's AI.
Beside that, they way things are written can often be easily identified as Ai... Word use, phrasing and even punctuation
