Anyways I'm new here but have always been a gearhead and tool hoarder.
I have been looking for a bigger bottom box for a couple of months and happened on one of these carts while doing my usual Sunday morning hunting sessions on craigslist. 562b taco cart with a 537d top box.

All the drawers work fine just a little gummy and no dents at all. I'm just gonna clean it up. It has a couple of cool stickers that I will leave on.

On the 537d top box the hinges are messed up and I ordered a new set from snap on.

Do any of you guys have a pic on how these hinges look when not bent and the top cover is up ?
Thanks
Luke

Congrats! I like these boxes. I've always thought it would be cool to have one set up as an island worktable with a big piece of butcher block for the work surface.

For your 537 box, the hinges ****, plain and simple, both hinges on mine were broken. The cover is extremely heavy and I've whacked my hand messing with the old, bent ones.

When you get your new ones, I'd love to see what Snap on will send you.

The hinges are supposed to go behind the cover, it looks like your box has had the hinge bent off to the side of the cover.

Nice find, both of those boxes are great. As mentioned, the 537s have had a lot of issues with their hinges. And I love that MACK sticker as well!

Just curious, how much did those boxes set you back?

I'd like to see how it looks when the hinges are in the right spot

I didn't get pics of mine before I pulled them off, but search KR537 on here. There are lots of threads with the KR537's.

Lookinfor67galaxieconv has some great threads on his Snap on tool box resto's..This gent does great work!

500 bucks for both. I thought it was too good of a deal to pass up.

You did well. When you get a chance, if you could post some pics of your taco cart in this thread that would be great
