I bend the blades with my small 48" hand operated hand brake. Surprising how 18 ga. sheet metal becomes 10 times stronger when you put 10 or 12 bends in it, ha,ha. Thanks for the nice comment.
John Deere Cab- Here is another project I built from scratch, this cab . I mounted this snowblower on front, tweaked it a bit, then took a old 59" JD snowblower and reversed it to make it into a rear box scraper. I never used this with the cab, snowblower and box scraper even one time. I did end up selling this one. But I sure had fun building it .
Bolens/Iseki - Here is another potential project I bought to convert into a 1/2 scale tractor I had fun cleaning it and painting it . The fellow told me it ran good but after taking the engine apart the block was cracked. Too expensive to fix so I removed the tires and rims and sold it at my cost. But I still had fun learning about this little diesel tractor. Anytime I am working on a project in my little workshop that is great.
BEARING BUSTER PROJECT- This is the smallest project I have done this winter. It is to remove fan bearings off the shaft . I saw them on line and just made one to save from buying it. Just some scrap pipe and scrap steel rod welded together. Then I cut out a strip with the plasma cutter just enough to slip over the shaft. Another fun little puttering project yesterday.
Lawn Trailers- Over the years I have also enjoyed building small trailers and wagons. Just fun little projects with tires I had around or found cheap or got free. On the farm as a boy I loved pulling three real wagons up and down the roads to the fields. Hooking these together reminded me of those days so long ago.
Big Tires on Garden Tractors- One thing is for sure and that is I like bigger tires on my little tractors, ha,ha. It is rare I don't tweak the smaller tires to larger ones . Here are a few of those that I have done. I like how it gives the look of a larger tractor and not so much just a riding lawnmower, ha,ha.
