Hey all,
Long time lurker here. I've read many helpful threads on here, thanks all who contribute to the wealth of knowledge.
I'm in the planning phases of doing flooring on my 2-car ~400 sq/ft garage. I'm leaning towards expoxy, for looks, and durability. But also open to VCT (cost)or Racedeck type solution (ease of install.)
First Question:
2 sides of my garage have a "ledge" running down it. Its very course, doesn't look like it was troweled smooth. Can I expoxy over it? I don't want the floor looking great, and bordered by this ****.
Second question:
There is an expansion joint along the perimeter. It's full of that black paper material, and then had some concrete smeared over the seam that is flaking off. I'm assuming I can chip away the concrete covering, clean out the paper and fill like has been suggested for expansion joints elsewhere in the forum?
Last question:
My floor has several places where there are hairline spiderweb cracks. I plan on using a diamabrush if I do expoxy. Do I need to worry about filling these?
You cannot even see them from a standing height.
