I have some Jeep TJ fender flares I need to plastic weld on,, As with most plastic car parts,, there is info "cast" somewhere on the piece.
This has the typical part#, date codes and "TPE",, as in the type of plastic.

I am getting contradicting info,, There are a few types of TPE,, some sell TPE filler rods, some say you cant weld it, etc.

Has anyone successfully welded TPE car, ATV parts ?

I have had a plastic welder for years,, repairing many of my HDPE Kayaks.
I don't have any fiberglass to repair.

Let me restate the question:
Specifically with Car and ATV flexible parts, labeled "TPE",, what filler rods are to be used for successful welding of these parts.
Does anyone have specific knowledge of the type of TPE these semi flexible body parts are made of?
