First off, Happy New Year to all.

I purchased a Bendpak two post lift from a GJ member a couple months back.
Owning some lower profile cars and a few 4x4 rigs, I knew I would have to make some adapters for the larger framed rigs.

Material is 3/8"x4" cold rolled flat bar and 2" solid round CR
Flat bar was broken on the iron worker using a break attachment.
Round bar pins turned to 1.376" keeping a 3/8" shoulder
Welding was done with Miller 350P (pulsed wire speed at 475)
No tacking as clamp was used and single pass working around clamp.
After cooling/cleaning a piece of neoprene was glued to fit the saddle and loaded into press for curing.
The pin shoulder was maintained while welding as this provides a smooth (swivel) machine fit to the arms.

Those are simply too clean to use. Very nice work, I am sure that having an Ironworker that is large enough to shear that size must be a huge help.

And Happy New Year to you as well.

Super nice, I like your glue up.

Thank you guys,

The iron worker was only used to break the angles on the cradles. I used a horizantal band saw to cut to length. I wanted a clean square cut. Although The iron worker can cut upto 14" of 3/8" material. Total cost of materials was around $44.00.

I like it! nice and simple as well as very clean work!

Nice welds!
Thank you, simple is good as I need to get the shop done 100% and still be able to get the bigger rigs up without killing myself.
As for the welds, your too kind. My eyes have started to really go south over the past two years. I had 20/10 vision for my first 41 years. Something I thought would last forever. Now at 51, I see an optometrist bi-annually as she believes I have retina issues.

Sorry to hear about your vision. Those look great! And I'm sure they are way less expensive than buying a set. I agree and think your welds look very good.

Used the new adapters to raise a 56 ford for service/inspection. They worked great with 6" spacers as the running boards are much lower than the frame.
