Plier Rack

I've got some comfort grip knipex with fat handles...

What would you say is more space efficient on a plier rack.
The original wire ones from plyworx or the newer MLtools one that while do appear to have slightly wider per slot ?

I had the wire ones and the grips were constantly snagging on the wire so I swapped them out with the ml units and they work great.

I want to offer credit where credit is due, but I can't remember who's post it was. They posted about using some all thread and rulers to make their own rack. It worked pretty nice. I couldn't find metal rulers for the right price, and spent a ton of time messing around in the garage to accomplish it. but essentially this is my rough version of what was posted.

It is nice because the space is adjustable. Now it is way faster, and cheaper to just buy the ready made racks, but this style is rewarding in you build it yourself, and it's adjustable to different widths of handles. Hopefully someone remembers who or where and gives credit to the the guy with the original idea.

I spy a plumbers wrench...
Hmm, never was even on my radar to put that there...and I've got a trio and then some....but they all sit in a drawer with the map torch heads,pex heads and all that goodness

I did something similar, but used some plastic stuff called Vinyl Stucco Edge Lath (I think). Comes in 10 foot lengths at Lowe's, HD, etc. It is a j-channel but it is easy to cut it and make it into an L.

I just put anything that would fit in the drawer. Was able to take 3 drawers worth and condense it into one drawer. Granted this is a taller drawer to facilitate standing the pliers up like that, but still have plenty of shorter drawers and a couple tall drawers in the box. Also have plenty of room to add things into the current pliers drawer and could remove some of the snips no real reason to have 3 sets of tin snips. Just put them in there because I had the space. I don't do a lot of plumbing. I think that is actually the only pipe wrench I even own so I don't have a drawer dedicated to it.
