My favorites are Proto and Knipex. I have been buying the most of those. But it depends on the specific type of pliers. I primarily use long nose precision pliers so the needle nose they have and the duckbills are great (Proto). But I have a variety of long nose from Knipex that are really unique as well. I also want to get a set of Knipex Cobras but that's another story because I hate that style of Channelock tongue and groove pliers.
I have a couple of Tekton and Channelock pliers as well. They're both ok but not of the caliber of the first two I mentioned. Husky and Kobalt are functional but that is about it for them.
I also have a whole lot of old pliers as well (Utica, Krautter & Bonney). Great stuff from long gone companies. The Proto is still nicer.
The one I want to try out is NWS.
