Left to right...unknown (But amazing)- Craftsmen- Dagger - Fairmount - Dagger (ground down) Bluepoint - crappy no name cast hammer

I would love to find a nice little Proto/Plomb but so far this is my collection of body hammers. I buy them on the cheap so dismiss the raged handles.

Ive made many slaps aswell

I've never seen a slap like the two at the bottom of this picture. Did you make those?

I like the modified Beta hammer. I've taken quite a few thick faced Pexto hammers and done this to them. Guys ask me for them like crazy since the Snap-on 615 is expensive and hard to come by.

I have dozens of unused body hammers that I have collected over the years. Most of them were bought in lots to receive a certain hammer. If you are looking for some new project hammers, let me know.

What are you using for your donor material on your slapping hammers, spoons and dollies ?

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with the way the Beta turned out! It's a bit light, only about 8oz, but it should work for most of the stuff I need. I built it for the exact reason you mentioned - the BF615 is expensive and hard to find!

Do you have any photos of your unwanted hammer stock? I really like the Snap-on pick hammers, like the BF603 and BF630. I wouldn't mind finding another one to sand a different radius into. I'm not sure if you've seen this thread, I restored one a few months back with a flat face.

I just went to it. Great job on the hammer restoration. People laugh at me when they find out I do it. Oh well, I enjoy it and I use them everyday too.

Sorry I'm so late to reply...I did make those, They work Great for post dollie stuff.

I make slaps out of everything, from Leaf spring and tool steel to plain old mild steel. I'm in the process of polishing the nicer spring slaps...Its a sickness I know But I love working out a dent or a aluminum panel with fully polished hand crafted tools...I'll be able to use them for the next 40 something years so Why not spend the time

Here is my body tools drawer (somehow misplaced a Snap-On & Martin hammer). 3 on the left are Snap-On, next 3 Martin, then a MAC (made by martin I think), then a couple imports. The dollies are all Martin.

I have some mystery items as well. Top left is a Blackhawk and bottom right is a Plomb but other than that I don't know, not even sure top right is a body tool or not? Anyone recognize any of these? I know it is hard on dollies, but thought it might be worth a shot.

Heres a neat little hammer I machined out of some scrap stainless. Its dual faced- One high crown and one medium crown for detail work and centralized blocking. I may have to whittle a nicer handle. I plan on making a bunch of thease...Sorry the picture quality is so bad, I can only use my apple to take pics right now

I just found this site doing as search on body hammer info.

I myself have a small collection of body hammers and dollies.

Here's a few links to my collection, just too many pictures to post. I should say am constantly adding new hammers and dollies and my collection as grown vastly since these pictures were taken...Eric

I had this stuff up for sale recently on CL but it didn't sell. Just thought I would show the long pecking hammer I have which I believe is a MAC. Many years ago I had a rather extensive collection of body hammers, spoons and dollies but it got so heavy. It just gets out of control when you have so much.

Anybody know what a old Blue Point wooden file like this is worth in mint condition? I can't find any info.

I'm interested in the 2 hammers if you would still like to sell them. Just send me a message and we can go from there.
