Early!also like the handles on the battery terminal pliers.
Thanks for the info.Plomb called that Name-Nurl.
It's neat that you have a whole timeline of the same dykes. The example with the "herringbone" pattern (as AA calls it) were made by J.P. Danielson.
Early!
Thanks. I use evaporust and a mix oil with wd40 to keep them protected.Nice job on the clean up!!!

I'd absolutely use the DOEs for my collection. PM sent. Thank youI am slowly adding to my Plomb collection, but this recent find greatly accelerates the quest. I have not yet had time to clean them, but at least I now have a large toolbox to store them! A handful of doubles if someone wants to trade.

Congrats! You may already have this, but here is a snip from Catalog 16B showing your wrench and its brothers.Pleased as punch to find this #3418 SOE tappet today at the flea.
A first for me.
And some mighty fine stuff it is! Looks great!Threw some stuff in my home made 4795 box

GMTK #2 Phillips driver
Most likely a user modified piece. 5242 was originally made as a 3/8 drive #3 phillips screwdriver bit. Here is a snip from catalog 19R for reference.Does anyone know what this Proto/Plomb tool was used for? The number is 5242. It's a 3/8 drive. Thanks.
Lookin good! I was putting my collection into my recently completed roller yesterday and I have about 3 times the amount of smooth pattern wrenches versus pebble, especially in dbe. I find it interesting to see which tools are more common. I almost always find pebble pattern hinge handles and ratchets but don’t find nearly as many non pebble ratchet and hinge handles. We traveled to our summer home where I was able to incorporate our recent estate and garage sale finds into the pebble and other later Plomb wrench collections. Here are some pictures of my current collection of these wrenches. I was also able to grab a #2 Phillips driver for my Plomb based GMTK.
