These are some pliers that I just cleaned. I have 3 diagonal cutters and all have different handles. my favorite one is the one with Plomb name and also like the handles on the battery terminal pliers.
Enjoy.

Hey there fans of PROfessional TOols (PROTO). Check out my video of the repair of a vintage Proto ratchet (skip to the 15min mark if you want to skip the tool haul part of the video) and then the video from Big Vic where he shows what he did with the whole tool set. Make sure you watch the before and after slideshow at the end of Big Vics video! Enjoy!

Your Proto post might generate more interest in the main Proto thread here.
The sticky at the beginning of the vintage tool section is very useful for finding the threads for brands or categories of tools.

I know where 3 mid boxes are and owner isn’t selling any time soon 😂👍. Couple of pictures of the sides and front drawer showing the stamping. Also a shot of the vintage repairs I left. Someone used square nuts /bolts to repair prior broken spot welds

Just got these in today. Don't know much about them and haven't purposely collected plomb before but decided I'd get them anyways. Ignore the Indestro Select ratchet, part of the lot I wanted and forgot to move it. Plomb 5249 3/8 drive ratchet and wf-77 3/8 drive 11/16 12 point universal socket.PXL_20220515_033147379.jpg

We traveled to our summer home where I was able to incorporate our recent estate and garage sale finds into the pebble and other later Plomb wrench collections. Here are some pictures of my current collection of these wrenches. I was also able to grab a #2 Phillips driver for my Plomb based GMTK.

Does anyone know what this Proto/Plomb tool was used for? The number is 5242. It's a 3/8 drive. Thanks.

Lookin good! I was putting my collection into my recently completed roller yesterday and I have about 3 times the amount of smooth pattern wrenches versus pebble, especially in dbe. I find it interesting to see which tools are more common. I almost always find pebble pattern hinge handles and ratchets but don’t find nearly as many non pebble ratchet and hinge handles.
