Only Plomb collectors or the most persistent, patient, onesie-twosie collectors of any brand of tools in the wild would appreciate the joy I had this morning.
The two innocuous bits attached to the drive studs of the two identical Williams M-42 hinge handles shown in this photo...
...were plucked out of a drawer of a huge head-high red stack, exactly as they are shown.
A Plomb 4846 SIZE 3 (3/8") slot tip and a CAL-AIR No. 3 Phillips. I have ZERO doubt that Plomb was CAL-AIR's source.
The hinge handles and the bits are all cadmium plated and all 9/32-inch drive.
