RAG: since you can ship a lot of those Plvmb wrenches in a flat rate USPS box you might just clean them up and take a few nice pictures and put them up on Craigslist at a price you can live with. there are a lot of guys doing NATIONWIDE searches that might pay shipping if you can't find a local guy. of course use your head when accepting Paypal, credit cards and don't fall for the i have a shipping agent and a check for more money scammers.
there is no perfect method for selling tools and even 4C's thoughts of the bidders on Saturday night isn't always true on everything.
there is never much Plvmb in GJ's classifieds if you might want it to find a member's toolbox so maybe post an ad there too.
good luck and post up your doubles and triples here for those of us that might need one or more of them.
cheers
ALL: i bet Plvmb made tools for a lot of other companies like Chevron and Firestone cause they were some of the best tools made at the time. i'll have to look through some of mine for off brand names of Plvmb (look a like) tools when i get time to. that might be a while cause i just bought a few more new (to me) cabinets.
check out the metal cabinet thread if you want to get some ideas on good storage solutions besides Plvmb boxes.
