I did see that! LesserSon came through. I'm still convinced the anvil was made around the same time whether it was in the catalog or not. As for my memory, it's fickle. I can remember my locker combination from 3rd grade (that's 50 years ago!), but I can't remember my kids birthdays! You must have a great memory Lugz!! Hey did ya see my Indestro vise was found in the 1935 catalog?!??!? I was so excited!
Anyway, that thread is memorable. ENCO was apparently using any DBE wrenches they could get their hands on to make their drawbar wrammers, including vintage Plomb. The legal ramifications of that concept still intrigue me, as I commented on in that thread.I did see that! LesserSon came through. DSCN2700 by https://www.flickr.com/photos/119819727@N06/, on Flickr'42-'45 advertisements in trade magazines have Plomb touting "31 Factories" under their contracting organization (Fleet) making tools for the war effort.
One of mine the thing in the back is made from square tube, it looks like the middle one otherwise. Also among that style, I'm pretty sure 1 is marked on the handle, and the other on the shank.I was digging thru my 1/4" plomb and thought I'd take picture of the different 4769 drivers I have. I actually have one more I can't find at the moment, a war finish un-plated shank version. Anyone have any other different versions?
Sorry, I need to retake that in good light, maybe after i peel some of that silly blue off.Can you provide more info on this "Enco" chromed tool, and maybe a better lit picture of their comparison?
This has me wondering...
Looks like these in the ad above.

That turned out nice, Smoke. Crisp lines. If that was a vintage thermos, I'd think it was period authentic!
Hmmm... isn't there a company that makes coffee mugs and t-shirts. I see a trend here!
Very cool Smoke!
Wait... is there a Blue one with the P&C logo in the works also ?
