I finally acquired the full set of pebble combo wrenches. Now I'm working on the wall display for the set. All that's left is to create the artwork for the logo to cut out in vinyl. I'm still not 100% sure what logo to use yet. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'll be using 1 to 2 colors for the logo. Any more than that gets too complicated for my patience...

Beautiful work there Hank

Here is one of my recent online purchases. Described in catalog 18A as Magnetic Hammer #1419. "A very favorite design because of its long reach and head radii". "Length of head 5 1/2", weight 7 oz." Handle is 1306H.

My neighbor at my summer home sent me a video of a tool he found in Southern California. It's a 3/4" drive dual marked pebble ratchet.

Ragz, you got that guy all fired up on the Plomb FB page about your ratchet! Lol!!

lmao what a jackwagon... I was bout to get rude with him, but trolls will be trolls.

He did didn't he!! Apparently that guy missed the "MFD USA" part. Fun to watch though!

He shut up a lot quicker than I thought he would

Plvmb made an upholstery hammer? :headscrat

:wtf:

I have a Plomb and P&C version of that hammer.

All: I talked to stepdad about the Kiowa branding, he worked on them at Bell and told me he had never seen tools marked for a specific model like that. But, he did say they had to mark every one of their tools with their military ID or DL number. So that if you left a tool in an aircraft they knew who was responsible.

Or if you left them on the runway or flight line! F.O.D. (EDIT: Foreign Object Debris, for those who don't know the acronym...) is no joke!

Although sometimes it's funny!

I have one too, but it has a loose non-original handle. I knew Plomb made body hammers but I'd never seen another type when I found it. For some reason I want to say this was one of the reasons Plumb sued Plomb that eventually resulted in the Proto name.

Thats super cool. I bought a complete 3/4" drive set with a dual ratchet at a farm estate sale for $15. I ended up selling it and still regret it to this day.

Without digging them out. Here's a pic showing both the Plomb and P&C versions of that tack hammer I have. the heads are different shaped, and the handles are different lengths.

Started the move of Plomb Wall to the Corridor of Plomb. Have the DBEs moved except for the WFs. Now I have room for an LA, Early AD, and the Heavy Duty DBE sets.
Combos are up next.IMG_20190314_125251950.jpgIMG_20190314_193359510_HDR.jpgIMG_20190314_193424889.jpegIMG_20190314_193430064_HDR.jpegIMG_20190314_193436817.jpeg

Yep, coming right along, Roy. I can see it now. Dim solemn lighting, spot lighting on the tools and the descriptions on the little exhibit cards, and the brochure outside the door next to the donations bucket... "Largest collection of Plomb tools in the Dakotas!" :)

Here's the 1041 I first reported finding over in the Garage Sale thread. Cleaned up pretty down to the dark natural steel finish.

I was trying to find the pics of the "Ultimate Plomb Shrine" for comparison. Can't seem to locate them. Multiple stacks, tool boards, etc.............I'm sure you guys remember those.

I wasn't aware of such a thing. It would be good to have a layout reference.

They are in this thread somewhere, several times I believe. It was like the ultimate Plomb collection. The West coasters will know when they wake up....

You can put up "corridor of Plomb" signs along the highway all the way east from Wall, SD. "ONLY 121 miles to CORRIDOR OF PLOMB" "BIGGEST PEBBLE COLLECTION IN THE DAKOTA'S" "44 MILES TO THE BIGGEST PLOMB DBE EVER MADE"

I do. Kind of like South of the Border on I-95 without the amusement park and a giant Sancho Panza statue instead of a giant jackalope statue. There's something like it in nearly every state. But I was thinking something far less commercial and far more, er, um, esoteric, along the lines of that guy in West Virginia with over 10,000 old telephone pole glass insulators in his barn, garage, house, shed, etc.
