Ok here’s the new family photo with a list. All 1/4” or 9/32” drive. The last 3 are kind of cheating since they’re not strictly plomb empire designs, but I threw them in nonetheless. Lemme know what I’m missing...

It is short for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. It was a contract production by Plomb. The only reason I asked was there was odd stamping below the Plomb stamp and couldn't make out if it was PWA or patent reference number.

Looking for the following Plomb Pebbles Wrench 3061

Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, who make aircraft engines. Factory-supplied tools, mostly made by Bonney, were given PWA prefix part numbers, and most tools were stamped with the PWA number.

It is the patent number. I've seen them stamped on Plomb breaker bars like this before. In this case the number is 1380643.

I'm not following you on this caveat, Dan. If the P&C is pre-Plomb acquisition, I'm with you on that one. But why don't you consider the Challenger and the PENENS to be 'Plomb Empire' designs? EDIT: Or are you strictly limiting your use of that term to refer to before the name change to PTTI?

The last 3 were iffy for me just because, while they’re from “plomb” companies, they don’t share the obvious plomb attributes that the others have. Namely the shape of the head or handle. Seems like they’re copies of other designs rather than plomb.

Sorry no spares though should not be too hard to come by.

Picked up an old puller set. Box is a little hard to read but puller still looks functional.

I figure the **** cap off just about any brand Im gonna look hard this weekend at the flea! but I do need a Plomb bezel. Got this made and mocked up. Im excited!

Nice. Those old wood cases are so cool. Here are a couple pics of the set I found a few years ago. Had a post back in this thread with more pics but Scumbucket trashed them.

It looked to be dated 1934-35. Do you know what that one is dated?

These pullers did not change much. The one from 1927 has three newer proto jaws that functionally match the older one.
