Nice!

Was this recently? If not, what year? (There aren't too many of those still around...just curious how long the guy held out.)...when the oldtimer who owns the hardware store lets you check out the back room.

WTF?!I know I've shown just the odd ( Williams made?) P&C wrenches from this score before but this is a kind of interesting group shot from an estate sale where the disinterested dude manning the garage was like....."Bro, just about everything in those drawers is a dollar each".
So much good stuff in this box! I see the tag so I know where this came from.
Looking for a craftsman heritage era 10 drawer top chest
really? do you know what they ever did with the chest? drop the price?
Cool story, X. They lasted pretty danged long. Some day those places will all be gone. I feel very fortunate to live in a town with a family hardware store. Harvey, the son, my age (60), modernized the place, and there is no old stock, but they still mix paint and have a walkin screendoor repair service, and you can run a line of credit, too. That kind of place.
Nope. I haven’t seen it around but it was a bit too high in price for sure!

Yeah, i tried to call them later but I wasn't that motivated, even if it was still there for a 1/2 price Sunday it would have been too much. Nice one thou.
I am just going to put his here.Nice. Glad they went to a good home. Did you score the older one that was singled out?
I had seen those too. Glad you nabbed them!Instead of going for the catalogs I had my eye of these single end Tappet wrenches which don't come up very often let along a full set of LAs. This also came with a few spares. Now I need to figure out how to display them properly and find some space.
Thanks. Have you had any luck with Plomb scores as of late? Hard to do when you can't get out.I had seen those too. Glad you nabbed them!

I hope you guys get some swaps in. The 3 swaps I have found here are all in late April and early May so I will be benched this year. I will have to resort to the 1 good pawn shop in town and hope for a couple good estates and auctions this year when this clears up.I was eyeing those pretty hard but want to save my pennies for upcoming swap meets this summer, if those actually occur!

That is scary getting caught up. I am actually losing ground here. I am still working and also having to home school a kindergartener and a 3rd grader. I have a lot more respect for teachers now.Not too much. All our flea markets are shut down and estate sales for the most part are non existent. I'm resorting to getting into projects now that I've had tucked under work benches for several years! If I'm not careful, I'm going to screw around and get caught up!!!
An original Rosie the Riveter. How the hell could her family let this get out of their hands?OK, so this is kind of a stretch for the Plomb thread but there are Plomb tools visible in this toolbox. I posted just the box years ago in a toolbox thread but I'm dredging it back up and adding a pic of the tray. PACCOR owns Peterbilt and Kenworth now...during WW2 they made Sherman's and M26 Dragon Wagons among other things apparently. I like the 1942 stamped PACCOR badge and the owner's name.... That is one heck of a cool chest with great provenance mr.x

That's a heck of a neat box with that PACCOR emblem and stamping X. I've no doubt Bernice did have a nice rack in 42' and just didn't have an E stamp handy when voted the factory's bEst so subbed the O. Definitely a great piece of history! Ed.
Maybe the Same?

5450 long 1/2” pebble rat to add.
It was nice to replace its random hardware with two correct screws.
