I haven’t researched the contract marked tools during this time period but I would think they where not a full run? Just certain sizes?

Great analogy. Great movie, too. Filmed in Chadds Ford, PA, just outside of Philly, and very close to where the seminal American artist Andrew Wyeth lived and worked. In case you never realized it, ALL of M. Night Shyamalan movies were set in or near Philadelphia. “The Sixth Sense,” “Unbreakable,” “Lady in the Water,” “The Village”, “Signs”, "The Happening", etc. That movie The Village from the early 2000's just came to my mind!!
Welcome back. I was going to drop you a line and see how you were doing this week as I hadn't seen in the board in a while. Thanks Smoke! Just took a little break from the interweb.
Looks good. Those deeps are hard to come by in the wild for sure. Glad they went to a good home.I added a few things to the boards today via Roy. A 1246 pebble(1-7/16) I got this summer in a trade that I finally cleaned up! Also 2 dual marked wrenches and also some 3/8 shallow and deep sockets. I have never found any deeps in the wild and want some for a carry box set I am putting together! I also got some 3/8 sockets from catfishdan a while back so I should be able to mix and match finishes to be pretty close for a set I can use if the mood strikes me!

Looking for a Round Beam Plomb 1068 Double Box End Wrench
A hope to get back to the board here soon. Home schooling, working from home and keeping sane seems to have taken my focus the past couple of weeks. I have a couple additions that arrived yesterday from a member on here and also an eBay pick that I was excited for. Hope you all doing well.Welcome back. Believe it or not I only have one deep prior to this. I have a ton of 1/2 drive but even out here the 3/8 sockets seem to evade me

Youre not the only one. I have found two deep 3/8 in 5-7 years, both of them are spark plug specific sockets. :/
11/16 and 7/8"

Were there only 4 sizes of the regular 3/8” deeps offered? That’s all I can find in the catalogs... I kind of hope so, because that would mean I have a full set!
I also have 2 spare 5020’s.

I have bad news. I just went out and checked my sets. I have two 3/4” deeps, one plated and one plain finish, an 11/16” chrome plated, a 9/16” plain and a 7/16” plain. I don’t see the larger ones in the catalogs. I don’t have any 5020s (hint, hint)

Thanks to Tin Medic for satisfying my curiosity.

I know that feeling. I have a few of the S and H suffix marked ones but they are rare.Looks like I have all the deep cub sockets but I sure have a long way to go on the shallow ones

Those are cool, Don. They remind me of the little wrench you sent me!
There is a Plomb box on CL near me. The paint is rough (literally), but it is not all that beat up. It is out of my price range, but still fun to see. I comb CL more than I'd care to admit and this is the first one I've seen.

A small little nugget in a stream of fool's gold in the dimly lit basement of an estate sale this lunch hour.......Plombaloy! That word, in that script, is a classic.
Model 706S Adjustable Wrench
So, I suddenly have a very decent set of six (6)! Pics 4 & 5 on the bench. Pic 6 already hanging (far right) with some other vintage double offset DBE sets (Hinsdale, King ****, and Gedore), and giving the whole shebang more cred on that Fleet rack. So I ran into this Plomb 5295 box at the flea this morning. No drive tools inside. Just a bunch of grungy DBE's that I could hardly make out the model numbers on. As you guys know, I have a complete WF- 3/8-inch drive set in a Plomb 5295 box that I lugnutzed into an OD green 'barn find' look. I do have a bunch of orphan 52xx and some extra WF- tools that I might stick inside to flip. Or possibly work something out with an interested party.
The real story is the DBE's.
Three of them were an 8185, an 8183, and an 8180. See Pics 2 & 3. As it turns out, I already have an 8184, an 8182, and an 8181 in my Plomb stash. Like manna from heaven, it doesn't get much better than that. Not even a duplicate! So, I suddenly have a very decent set of six (6)! Pics 4 & 5 on the bench. Thanks, and sorry about that. If it was just the one, and I didn't need it. But you know that.I am still needing an 8185 offset dbe. Great find sir!

Nope no hard feelings. Actually I am super hurt and you can put some pliers in there to ease my pain[emoji23] but seriously I am interested in the leftovers once you figure out what you are going to move. And yes, if you are not attached to the pliers I could be persuaded to give them a good home

It's a beautiful Indian summer (67*F!) day here today, so I decided to do some light straightening and cleaning up on that late 40's 5295 box.
