I don’t think that box with the often missing tray included is particularly overpriced. It’s a nice example.

If you want true convenience get a Montezuma front loader.I used to have one of those boxes, and found it to be inconvenient for my use. I sold it for $50.
9642 by https://www.flickr.com/photos/119819727@N06/, on FlickrOkay. Okay.... I replied to the ad. It says, "if the ad is still up, it is still available." but I'm not getting my hopes up.
It's an hour and a half round trip, so roughly $20 in gas (@$5/gallon). It is a pretty drive to P.T. and the cherry trees are in bloom. Spring comes early around here.
If I wind up owning it, I'll use it to store my Plomb tool assortment. It really is a different arrangement. I've never seen one in person.
(I should be selling, not buying).

Well if you want to see it in person, I should be running back through Kingston on my way home. I'm happy to stop for a few minutes as long as I'm not chasing the ferry and haven't decided to drive around due to schedule. PM me if you want to check it out.I have not heard back. I'll bet he's just waiting for you to follow through before pulling the ad and then letting me know it's been sold... assuming he's polite. Nice grab.![]()
Hi Don, Danielson.Nice haul. Is the adjustable Danielson or Utica style?
-Don
Man X, you killed that sale! Super uncommon to find that much in one spot!Estate sale...So there's a Plomb adjustable and a Plomb 1428 body hammer in this lot but the story is in the 2nd picture....Porter Ferguson. Obviously I grabbed them all. Hell, why even go to the trouble of putting stickers on them if you're only charging $2.00 apiece. I assume most are familiar with PF tools but for context, a used small block GD-5 dolly identical to the one at the bottom center of my first pic and on the right of my 2nd pic with the $1.00 price sticker sold for 89.99 + 8.00 on ebay in Jan.![]()
I was just up there this weekend in sequim. I searched plomb but not plumb. Oh well, I am glad someone is getting a nice box! By earlier, you mean by two months. They bought them in November 1946.I’d like to find an earlier one.
It was just posted yesterday, I was lucky to run across it shortly after it went up. When I got it this morning the guy said there were a bunch of people in line behind me.I was just up there this weekend in sequim. I searched plomb but not plumb. Oh, that hat is nice! Well played sir!
Those extensions are really cool! Certainly uncommon! Plus let’s not forget those amazing TT sockets there! Very nice. Here's an interesting 18" 3/8" drive extension from 1930, notice the "18" following the 5263 tool no. Looks to be a holdover from the previous years Plomb convention of numbering their extensions by their length ie. DE10 and DE5 for their 1/2" drive 10 and 5 inch extensions.

Love this Plvmb tower! Very impressive!I bought this Plomb set during Twertsy’s purge, because it had a obscure unicorn for my large 1/4“ drive set. I decided to go ahead and complete it since it had most of the pieces. I added a conventional 1/4” drive ratchet but had trouble finding a 4766 breaker. Fortunately, I received this one yesterday from JjKk40 as part of a trade.

Here is the nice 4766
Completed set
It forced a slight change to the organization of the Plomb tower so it could be added.![]()

If you don't already know, those graphics are from the 1941 (dated October 1940) catalog cover. Of the many out there, that one is incredibly intact. The sticker is pretty cool.

Thanks for the info Lugz, I did not know that...I'm not sure I can put this thing in the basement with everything else, might have to find a spot in the house for itIf you don't already know, those graphics are from the 1941 (dated October 1940) catalog cover.
