This topic has been pretty popular the last couple years.
Here is a link where some discussion took place recently.

Search on the forums for polar, eaton compressor, e-max compressors and quite a few should come up. I have not seen to much negative posting happening around any of these compressors online.

I will say look online for sales from online vendor sites and big box like home depot. I got lift gate delivery to my door for no extra cost and a big discounted sale price from home depot. Was supper nice not having to deal with getting it from a hub to my business.

I've got their 5hp 80gal (PPE05V080I1) that I picked up at their plant close to Dayton. I've been using it professionally here in the shop for the last 3 years & have absolutely no complaints. Originally I was shopping for a Quincy but the specs were much better on the Polar Air for roughly the same money.

I bought a 5hp 80q Quiet Air model from Eaton in June, and am very happy. It's my second Eaton, and it's hard to beat them, for the money.
