I have an interesting build going right now, you can see my thread below....I have to get some more pictures up.

I ended up with a mezzanine area on top, which you could easily replace with some attic trusses.
Because of the situation of a free barn I stuck with the rafters.

Good luck!

That's very close to my project under construction, except sticker frame walls instead of posts and headers. Very nice!

So I’ve made a final decision on my overall dimension.. 32x36X14. I really wanted to stretch it to 40’ long to get the most out of the lumber, but I just don’t have the space to swing it (obstacles such as a deck, 500 gal propane tank, adjacent 10x16 shed, etc..)

I’m also deciding on scissor trusses with a partial mezzanine. I would like to do 7/12 top chord and 3.5/12 bottom chord. The trusses (6 total.. 2 standard structural end trusses and 4 scissor) will sit directly on a 3-ply column with 7’2” spacing.

One side wall location is already determined via string line. Just need to finish running string line and layout for the other 3 walls. Then mark hole locations and get to augering.. hopefully here within the next week or two.
