The best deal you bought compared to what you'd have to pay if there was no HF.

My vote is US General 16 drawer toolbox

The price is now $300 + $200 = $500
I did not pay anywhere close to this.
I paid like $300 or something, maybe even less.

The first example that comes to mind is the flip socket set. Nobody else sells it for the regular price of around $10. Everyone else seems to sell it for at least $25. The flip socket set is on my increasingly short list of value buys at Harbor Freight if I were to cross the border. For a lot of the other stuff I can just wait until Princess Auto or Canadian tire puts them on sale.

Harbor Freight claw hammers are awesome. Nice big head. My biggest complaint about HF is that I have to drive out of the way to get there.

My all time best recent best buy has been the single drawer Bulk Storage Tool Cart, I paid less than $80 out the door tax included. Its every bit the same build as the more expensive 4 drawer Tech Cart

I also have to say the $14.99 1/2" breaker bars and $19.99 1/2 drive shallow impacts sets...for a dollar value either one they offer with a coupon cant really be beat.

My favorite impact set I carry set is the 37 Pc (3/8" & 1/2" SAE & Metric combo with extensions and and adapters in the locking case. $29.99 before coupon. Been as low as $21.00 and some change in the past.

I do note though some items are generally still same many prices are creeping up all the time with Freight on many of the items, like the 3/4" drive impact set was like $39.99 and so $32.99 with 20% Now its $42.99

Though a good dollar value on the HF flip sockets the main reason other sets are often more money because they do offer an extra socket sizing usually coving 7/8" and/or 22mm for lugs on heavier vehicles like light trucks and tractors and most often includes the 17mm too.

Though by official measurement they are actually slightly different, for many people the HF set basically just duplicates the same 2 sizes...3/4" & 19mm and 21mm & 13/16" :dunno:

I'm wondering how difficult it would be to move the drawer down just below the middle shelf. Looks like it should be very easy.

The best value in product(s) I've ever bought at a HF store were 2 sets of SK combination wrenches purchase as separate pieces for about (just over?) $200. 1/4" to 1" by 1/16"; plus 1-1/8" and 11/32".

The last month of 1989 or first month of 1990 -- in Bakersfield, CA --- I think the sign out front was Harbor Freight Outlet Store.

Of what's currently available, my favorite is - Pittsburgh 3/8" Quick Release Swivel Head Ratchet. $12 with $5 off coupon.

But the absolute king of the HF value heap is the 1/4" drive swivel head (AKA roto) ratchet. I have several scattered around.

Their entire U. S. General tool box line.

Their basic welder cart that you can find on sale for well under $30 is also a value and perfect for the guy with a mig welder who welds only occasionally.

The $10 breaker bar really can't be beat,
That tool might sum up the entire HF advantage for home mechanics.

I think the US General line of boxes/carts is a killer bargain for those that don't need a more premium featured box.

The latex gloves are decent and quite a bit cheaper than what can be found elsewhere.

Their jacks are all a bargain.

There's a bunch of misc. made in Taiwan hand tools that are great and the exact same items being rebranded by the tool trucks.

One of the most used tools in my entire toolbox, obviously..
So, great call, one of the best $10 I've spent.
The next closest probably costs $20 elsewhere.

Show me another 14" handled, <1" head thickness 3/8" OR 1/4" drive flex head ratchet. They don't exist.

You get the access, the leverage, and the clearance from the combination of flexing heads, long handle length, and super slim ratchet heads. It has become an indispensable component of my tool arsenal.
