I'm currently building a slab to place a spa/hot tub on and we will be getting an above ground pool within 20 feet of the spa. Because of the slopped ground, one side is ~ 2' higher than the other side. There will be a deck ~ 4' off the ground so the spa is 1' above the deck.
Can I run a sub panel (outdoor rated) out there and place it a foot under the deck for a little protection from the rain? The panel would be under a piece of tin ~ 6' from the spa.
Current spa is 110 but I figure I should run 220 in case we end up going bigger in the future. Not sure what the pool motor will need yet so I was going to run 60 amps to take care of the spa, pool and lights.
80' run from panel to where I want to place the panel so I am going to use 4 AWG copper in a 1.5" conduit. I am going to run water to fill said pool and spa and a spare 1" conduit in case I ever decided to run a internet and or cable out there.
Am I missing anything?
