I put down the POR15 Floor over this past weekend and I had some problems. I purchased the 3.5 car deluxe kit from the POR-15 Depot a couple of weeks ago and the speed at which I got the product was amazing.
As stated I put down the product this last weekend.
The problems, I was shorted 2 qts of cross-link catalyzing agent and 1 of the 4 base coats/top coat gallons did NOT match the rest. I ordered the light grey kit, and received 3 gallons of light grey, with 1 gallon of dark grey, even though all 4 gallons had identical part numbers and color code labels on the cans...I should have actually opened every can to inspect the contents, I honestly didn't think something like that would be necessary, so be forewarned. Don't get in the middle of your project before finding out.
I was VERY pleased with the product itself, it went down quite nicely. I completely hosed up the color chips though. My wife helped me install the floor and she was broadcasting the chips while I rolled the top coat down. Lets just say, the very first throw was a large clump of chips

at that point it was too late to do anything about it and we tried to put down a heavy coat to make it look uniform. Needless to say, I'm far from happy with it (the chips are what I'm unhappy with, the floor is OK, even though it's slightly different colors).
The clearcoat, as previously mentioned is IMPOSSIBLE to see and tell where you did and did not roll the clearcoat. I have a few gaps in my coverage, but with the lack of all the catalyst...there wasn't much more I could do...
What I'm trying to determine is can I put another top coat over the chips and start again. I know the floor will be textured (which is OK with me) from the chips, I just want to know if the vinyl chips will create lift points, if I put another coat over top of them.
The color chip fiasco was completely my fault, I should have instructed my wife better, however what I find intolerable was the fact I was given 2 different colors for one kit and shorted 2 qts of catalyst, when I spend 1,000.00 on something of this nature, I expect it to be perfect from the manufacturer.
I've contacted POR-15 Depot about the missing catalyst, mismatched floor paint and the possiblity of covering the vinyl chips. They promised to call me back within the hour.
I uploaded a few shots here (at least what I'm willing to show, I'm REALLY hoping I can cover up the horrid vinyl chips with another coat).
