What about a fullsize propane tank and a whole house generator.
Feeding an LPG generator for an extended period of time is like supporting Obama, it's going to cost you **** for the long haul.

I just talked to consumers energy about changing my overhead run to underground and the engineer told me $7.50 a ft/$10.50 a ft (summer vs winter rate) to do the new run for a 200amp service.

My PoCo wanted $425 to convert aerial to buried (approx 20 ft from pole to my detached garage) . . . BUT . . I would need to dig the trench and provide 3" conduit !!!!!![]()
