I wanted to share a recent save I did on an old Power-Kraft 1/2" drive ratchet I received a in a lot of tools I was given. It first hit the scrap pile as I figured it was done for. However, last week I decided to pull it out and see if I could find new parts for it. After a little research I learned that it was made by New Britain and among other brands New Britain was an OEM for the Mustang brand.
That's when the light bulb went off. I had an old Mustang ratchet laying around somewhere and when I compared them it looked like everything would swap out. Believe it or not, the Mustang had a higher tool count so I had to swap out the pawls. Other than that, it was a prefect fit. I couldn't believe of the half dozen or so 1/2 ratchets I own that these two had similar guts. Everything is coming up Millhouse
!
