Pressure Washer O ring needed!

I have a power washer (Simpson with a 5 in 1 nozzle). The nozzle has a nozzle that you can rotate to a few different settings. Last time I used it there was spraying coming sideways from the nozzle. I opened it up and there is a small O ring that seals the deal and rotates to whatever setting you want. It was nearly broke in two.

I called Simpson and they said I'd need to buy a new nozzle and maybe wand.
The O-Ring has a square cross section and one of the sides has a grove around the mating surface. The dimensions are 3/8" OD 7/32" ID and 1/8" thick.

Tried the hardware store and got close with a round cross section but it did not work.

Where could one find one or a few of these O-rings? They remind me of a faucet O-Ring somehow.

I may just need to upgrade the wand to a quick connect and then get a few nozzles.

If I could find the ring I could have this fixed for a buck or two. A wand may be 20$ plus but may be the better solution.

Any help out there?

thanks
Mark

The quick connect couplings have o rings too. Auto parts stores generally have a large selection in stock and can usually get a bunch of their non-stock sizes in within the day or next day depending on when you are there. Another source could be a Fastenal branch.

Huh. It would appear this thread got pruned of at least one or two comments.

Keep in mind a normal o ring kit wouldn’t work for the OP as he stated in his first post that they had a SQUARE cross section.

Any Parker Store will have access to almost all the o-rings that Parker makes. Just do a search for "Parker Store near me." But I don't agree on the comment about standard o-ring versus square section. It may not have to be a square section o-ring especially for the pressure range of most washers. O-ring compression is what does the sealing as much as the o-ring shape.

It is no doubt academic now since you got a different wand, but I was in our local ACE Hardware store about a year ago getting some parts for our youngest daughter's kitchen faucet. I could have sworn they had some square o-rings in a yellow plastic box. I know you said you checked the local hardware store, but was it an ACE Hardware store? For some reason ACE seems to have whatever it is that I need. Very rarely do they NOT have what I need.
