Wow, my name as been brought up here
Quick direct drive pump info. First honcho and AZ (I think) gave good advice.
Avoid axial pumps at all costs. They do not hold up. I am really surprised that McHenry's recommended an axial pump. They are a competitor and friends of mine. Couple of years back, they wouldn't have touched an axial pump.
Cat pumps are thought to be the best, BUT, it depends on which line of cats you are talking about. Cat's industrial, belt driven, slow spinning pumps are great and probably the best, but they are EXPENSIVE and parts are 2 to 3 times the cost of every body else. That said, their direct drives are certainly ok.
I sell more AR direct drive pumps then anything else and have good luck with them. I also service a number of machines with General EZ pumps and have seen them hold up for a long time. .
What is most important is to follow the list of do's and don'ts I posted here a while back. Try the search for pressure washers.
Also, I am not interested in selling pumps through the mail, I only do business locally.
Sorry I didn't see this earlier, but I don't stop here as much as I used to.
Feel free to PM me, but be patient
