That thing's hideous. There's a good reason it's a 'limited edition'

I think it is pretty sweet. I have a choice of the bright green also that I want. Guess you don't know me yet lol. I am a fan of camo! I seen another one I like with camo, but what I like about this one is how big the letters are for snap-on.

I just bought it and it's coming to you via frieght truck. Merry Christmas!
Very funny lol.
Life's short - if you want it, then just get it!

I only regret the things that I wanted and didn't get; toys I passed up.

I'm planning on getting one next semester. Saving up the money now. Get a 50% discount through student program.

not worth it if you have to "save money" for it.
spend the money on the tools and get a real tool box instead.

That may come in handy if you want to use your toolbox as a duck blind!

Looks neat, but I never saw the reason people spend extra money on special painted boxes. I agree that money could be used toward tools.

you don't get to buy the KRL boxes with your student discount, the 54" Camo box for $2500 is a Classic 78, and you have to pay tax for it, too.

Buy it if you already have two or three times it's value in good quality tools. If not, then please don't waste your cash on a flashy box (in this case an ugly as hell box) when you'd be better to spend it on tools. Your other option is to buy a black one and spend a couple hundred bucks on a vinyl camo wrap. . .probably save you a bundle and if you ever want to sell it you're not stuck with an ugly box. . .you can just peel it off and have shiny new black paint.

i know way to may people with a billion dollar tool box full of ****** tools that can't pull a wrench to save their lives. It's embarrassing. You have to toys, you better know exactly how to play with them or you look like a total jackass.

I'm a huge fan of camo but that box is ugly. You are shooting yourself in the foot if you buy something like that. The resale market on that is very slim.

Be who you want to be.

The tools you buy say a lot about you.

If you're a camo girl, go camo!

Ohhhhh man! ^^^ Now you've done it!!!
Hick's going to kill you now!

I'm more a fan of the old tri-color camo than Mosseyoak.
But I wouldn't mind that for a home box.

Here is my 2 cents worth.

Go get yourself the bigger US General box for now...... Hang on stay with me and hear me out.

Pull the badge off of it.
Take it to a good decal shop and have them put a camo wrap on it. Save a ton of money in the process.

Apply you student discount purchases to tools. Hate to see someone get loaded with debt in a big box purchase and no tools to show for it.

Ok let the flaming begin.

Is today opposite day?

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I agree with the OP completely. Love the camo box as well as my camo hats, toboggans, gloves, boots, pants, jackets, shirts, camo gorilla tape, steering wheel cover, seat covers, floormats, and guns :shocking:

My coworker was quoted 120$ to have his box camp wrapped...

My first box was a master mechanic. It is a bottom box and my Mac top box is a load for it but it has done the job for allmost 30years. Most boxes will do a good job if you take care of them.

There is some common concensus here in general, first, its up to you but second is to keep it in perspective about whats important, the 50% off wouldnt mean squat to me, when I had it didnt use due to the fact you can buy these tools like new at any time for 50 cents or less on the dollar.

I agree, something simple, something reasonable and get whats needed when needed. As we see in other thread,,, someone repo one of those big boxes,,,says it all. If I had to start over,,, burnt to the ground etc, and I do have it all,,,, it would be a combination of HF, Walmart and good deals on used tools when I came across them, there is no point in spending 2, 3, 4 years of a career collecting, paying for stuff you really use a portion of for the most part, guys get full wrench set of every one they make and routinely use one out of it.

Not that guys with big boxes are not fine mechanics but as a professional of 30+ years its not something I look at, in fact I look closer to see if a guy has matched his tools to the work vs having one of everything, one of the best mechanics I know has a set of hand tools wouldnt bring 50$ at a good sale, some of little junk from when he was a kid, probably spent less than 10$ at a time for anything in last decades, last time he was here I see a cheap set of something,,, must have had a piece of something he didnt have, likely kept that and dumped the rest as un needed.

The guy can do anything but has a good meter and soldering iron

+1 on the U.S. General boxes. You can get several $700 HF boxes for the price of 1 Snap-On at a time in your life when you're still building your collection. At this point any amount of money spent on tools is going to produce a hell of a lot more return on investment than any amount spent on a box.
