$4,000 in mission critical tools working perfectly
$200 1 defective sku for a non-essential luxury item
So you go online to trashtalk the brand??????????????????
Sorry to rant but this thread needs some perspective.
Its on you to check that it is/was working before warranty expired.

IMHO, their radios are not up to their standards with their tools. I own 2 now and at one time 3...BUT maybe the real issue IS, your vendor didn't treat you better, has they could have, seeing how your a big spender there, sometimes a lil "good will" on their part goes a long way, I really don't fault the maker as much as the seller, IMHO A $150-200 radio cant cost the vendor no more than half of what they are selling it for, so maybe they write off 1 radio for a good customer, IMHO. YMMV!

Just to make sure I'm understanding this clearly, you have been a long time consumer of Milwaukee but are abandoning them because of a broken radio?... One single radio???
Hmm... I guess just let us know when your stuff goes on the classifieds. I'd be interested in checking it out. Odd thread.
I have a Milwaukee 28v radio I bought new 4.5 years ago after my original was stolen from a job site. It gets tossed around pretty good in my truck and from job to job. It still works great. If it died tomorrow I would buy another one. **** it up.
3 hours later I finally got an answer I was looking for.... Warranty would pay for it to be shipped to them and back to me. Warranty would only fix what needed to be fixed. When they fixed it they would only give a 90 day limited warranty on what they fixed. So if it cam back to me with speakers not working, charger not charging, or anything else stupid say the screen didn't work on place. I would have to send it back to them and pay to get it fixed again. The problem lies within people not knowing anything about customer service.
My dealer had no problem giving me one at cost. My dealer also was willing to get it fixed under warranty until he was told they only do one year warranty. They being a service center for milwaukee could and have gotten stuff fixed for customers in the past. Milwaukee no longer does this and they weren't notified either.
When I talked to warranty they couldn't tell me if I would get my radio back or a refurbished one. They also would only give a 90 day warranty on what was fixed. So if they gave me another radio that was abused or in the rain and what not. If something else went wrong when I got it back and it wasn't exactly what it went in for there was no warranty on it. So if I got another radio and the usb plug wasn't working that would have to be sent back in for me to pay to get fixed. This to me is pee poor warranty work IMHO.
UPDATE
After writing this thread I had recalled them and asked to speak to a technician about the problem. After going through a couple things he advise me that sending it in would be a waste of my time and his time. He also said they have very little of parts for these and if it isn't something easy or just a small cheap part they wouldn't fix it. Though customer service would tell you they fixed the problem and it would cost X amount of dollars. So they give you a refurbished one for whatever they think it would cost to get yours fix. Then send it to you hoping that what you got back doesn't have anything happen to it.
Maybe I should've got everything together but I was writing that while I was on the phone with 3 different people not knowing there job. I was also very nice and polite. I have learned that long ago. The technician just called to let me know he will replace mine for around there cost. The problem was how they handle their warranty and nobody knows anything.
I don't understand why you're so hung up on "something" being wrong w a replacement. Check all the functions THE DAY you receive it. If something isn't working call them immediately and tell them their warranty replacement is also faulty.
It sounds like they're extending your 1 year warranty for goodwill and giving you 90 days on the replacement. I don't understand the continued complaining?
No I only been a customer for 3 years. I never owned anything milwaukee until then. I haven't bought anything from craftsman in 3.5 years. Probably never will again
Well indeed a $40k truck is a parallel example to a $200 radio.
You should just stop buying Milwaukee and sell all your stuff I guess. Good luck and have a nice day.
The problem is even the service place didn't know they only had a 1 year warranty.
Dibs on any tools he's selling that I don't already have..
