How far are you driving to the new house to get work done? That adds to the day when you cannot camp out like during summer time. I am sure you have to plan ahead to bring all the tools and supplies to get each task done.

I really like this entire thread. Is tanking in water common up there? I have never heard of such a thing. The place I live on has an old cistern, but it hasn't been used for years.

How about the original machine shed? Has anything happened there, or has the house taken all of your efforts?

The old machine shed hasn't gotten an ounce of attention for a long time, really it was a mistake to put so much time and money into it when I should have been focusing on other things (my then business for example), that old run down building with a nice roof is a glaring reminder every time in in the yard of what a lack of proper priorities can really cost.

Some day I will focus again on doing something with that building but it won't be anytime soon.

Just finished reading your thread. GREAT JOB.

Don't worry about the $$ you put into the shed, we have all done things like that. You're still young and can recover from it. You thought you were doing the best thing. It is over with now and you can't get the time back. With the way you work you will easily recoup your money.

Again GREAT JOB, you and your S/O

I agree with pitter. after the house you would be wanting a barn or shed or garage anyway. at least to securely store your tractor. doing it out of sequence will only hurt for awhile. anyway with the new roof you saved it from deteriorating . house is looking great, by the way.

Wondering what happened with this thread ? Its been a year since an update. For some reason I find how things are done that far North fascinating.

Never mind I see the op changed his first post and deleted all the photo's. Shame it was an interesting thread.
