i bet they will be all over ebay soon.

as for a reasonable price, mine cost 13$ to ship, so between that and the tax, it was about 46$. adding shipping to you . . . . easily could get to 60$, before "something for the effort" is considered.

Yeah, I figured I'd have to pay extra for shipping and whatnot.

If anyone that bought multiple sets decides they bought 1 too many and want to send one my way for a nice price it would very much be appreciated. I don't have any 12 points. :bounce::beer:

If/when I get mine, I could come off of 1. I got 2, but after reviewing my needs for the 4Runner and what I currently have, Ill honestly only need to keep one of them.

Utahtrapper,

Difference in those two sets is the ratchets. the XL set has aerospace type ratchet, the j52222 has the old style.

Glad to see some others are finally getting theirs and looks like more orders should be coming in soon.

I know this is a longshot but if somebody has a standard inch set of the same sockets they'd like to swap for the metrics I'd be interested. It would be nice to turn the 2nd set I got into a working standard inch set.

My first set came in today. I ordered one set and then decided to go back and order a second. I have received no information about the second order.

Found the email this morning that my two sets were ready for pickup. Just got back from Grainger. Nice sets for $54.34 total. At better than 15" x 15" the plastic boxes are a colossal waste of space. They're going on socket rails anyway so no big deal. Kudos to Grainger.

The tools are so spread apart, it does seem they could cut the case down to half the size.:headscrat

Yes of course!! Thanks nycHorn!! I said kudos to Grainger because I have to wonder if this wasn't some sort of mistake. If it wasn't then great. If it was then kudos to Grainger for making good on the deal.

No sooner did I post than the truck rolled up.

Beautifullly made by Proto!

Big shout out to nycHorn for sounding the horn! And Grainger, which may have redeemed themselves from a previous poor experience a long time ago.

I love a number of classic tools by Proto, and this set looks great. Not often do I buy brand new tools, and this is actually my first ever Hot Deals buy.

Thanks! I was just trying to see if there was a pattern of account holders getting sets before guests or if they had a preference to who gets what and when.

I think the last debacle with Grainger was that a lot of folks ordered a welder that was priced low, about half price if I remember.

Some people actually got them. I didn't get mine

There was no rhyme or reason how Grainger fullfilled the orders.

Some people that ordered early didn't get one. Some people that ordered late got them. You had no way to tell how lucky you were going to be. Nobody could find out anything about the status, etc.

They ended up cancelling most of the orders after a pretty long wait.

Grainger is pretty unimpressive in regard to the customer management and logistics departments. Worse than Sears in some respects.

i ordered Feb 22nd 1 AM, right away received order confirmation email, the estimated date of pickup was 3/9. Yet when i called Fri 3/9, they said it's on back order till 4/5. I don't think they know what they are talking about. I ordered through a newly created web account ( don't have a biz account with them ).
