I just got my shipment notice a minute ago. I have one set coming. This was one of those deals where if it went through great but if they cancelled the transaction I would have understood as well. I may look to pick up the SAE and purge some of my other 3/8 stuff.

I totally forgot that the card I used when I ordered mine expired at the end of March. Called them up and a nice lady helped get everything squared away and she then said that I could expect delivery tomorrow. Can't wait for my set to arrive. These will be my first and I'm pretty sure not my last Proto tools

I placed my order Feb 22nd here in Utah, what date did you place your order and what state. Just wondering if there is a rhyme or reason on when they are going out. I am not going to bug Grainger as again it was a great deal if it happens it happens.

Here's what the set looks like. Great finish and broaching. Nice polish and plating. Very happy to have Made in USA and size so clearly legible on each piece. No metal box, but I think we knew pretty early on it was going to be a plastic case. But it's a nice case, with good latches.

Got a shipping notice emailed yesterday (no Grainger account) and the sets arrived via UPS today. Glad Grainger delivered, and these are super nice tools. Sockets appear to be on par with my USA Williams, and the ratchet is butter smooth. I haven't had much "hands on" experience with Proto, so I was excited to get these and see the quality first hand.

The plastic case truly is massive, even after seeing pictures I was surprised! I doubt I'll keep either set in the case so it doesn't really matter to me.

There are metal proto boxes on amazon. If I remember correctly they were right around $20.
